Scott Lea

Scott Lea is an artist who has developed a unique illustration style inspired by objects that remind him of family members.

Scott was involved in Artstate with the project (Un)Usual: When the Strange Becomes Familiar at Wagga Wagga Civic Centre. Scott has exhibited in numerous group shows including 5 Years (2021) at Wagga Wagga Art Gallery, Yield (2019) at Griffith Regional Gallery and Bush Country (2018) at Turbo Gallery in Rainbow, Victoria. In 2022 Scott held his first solo exhibition Flowers, Music & Life at the Riverina Community College Gallery.

When did you start creating works?

I started at Kurrajong.

What kind of works do you make?

I like painting with the colours red and yellow. Prints, drawing and painting.

What influences your work? Guitars & flowers.

What are your aspirations for the future?

More printmaking, clay.

What's your favourite thing about being in the studio at The Art Factory?

Having my exhibition in the gallery!
