Art on the Move
November to June 2026

At The Art Factory, staying connected with our community is at the heart of everything we do. With support from Wagga Wagga City Council, we are committed to building an inclusive and thriving arts environment where people of all ages and abilities can come together through creativity.

Our Art Factory on the Move program brings artists into community spaces, including aged care facilities and childcare centres. These workshops create opportunities for people to connect, learn from each other, and share creative experiences.

By bringing hands-on art workshops directly into these spaces, residents are invited to try something new, express themselves creatively, and enjoy time with others in a relaxed and welcoming environment. The sessions encourage conversation, laughter, and shared moments that help strengthen community connections.

Our workshops with childcare centres focus on creativity, confidence, and inclusion. During the printmaking sessions, children are encouraged to explore their imagination and experiment with different materials and ideas. Seeing artists with different lived experiences leading these workshops also helps children understand and value diversity in their community.

Each workshop is designed to be fun, accessible, and empowering. Participants can create their own prints, explore mixed media, and enjoy the process of making art together.

The program will also include small exhibitions at participating venues, families, carers, and the wider community will be invited to see the artworks created during the workshops.
